The founder

Sound engineer.
Developer. Entrepreneur.

Modou Lolly Sarr grew up in Rufisque and Keur Massar, Dakar. With no film school and no institutional funding, he dubbed Fast & Furious 9 into Wolof, built Wawaw for iOS and Android, and earned Apple certification, entirely self-taught.

WordSharp Music Studio

Certified sound engineer, professional mixing. Collaborations with One Lyrical, Akhlou Brick, Nit Doff and the leading figures of the Senegalese urban scene. Over 10 years of studio experience.

2023

Fast & Furious 9 in Wolof

First Wolof dub of a $300M Hollywood blockbuster. Universal Pictures contacted. Start of formal discussions.

Jan 2024

Apple Developer certification

Apple-certified developer, self-taught, via YouTube. The Wawaw app built for iOS and Android.

Jan 2024

Wawaw Sénégal registered

RCCM SN DKR 2024 A3530, NINEA 0110106761D1. The first African localization company in local languages.

2025

HEC PARIS Challenge+ & PSPO

HEC PARIS Challenge+ certified (entrepreneurship programme). Professional Scrum Product Owner certified (October 2025), product methodology applied to Wawaw.

Partnerships & Launch
