Le S.C.A.L.E Summit (Summit of African Localized and Exported Cinema) est le premier sommet international dédié à la distribution, la localisation et l’export du cinéma africain. Organisé par Wawaw Sénégal, cet événement réunit cinéastes africains, studios internationaux, distributeurs, investisseurs, startups technologiques et médias. Le sommet se tient le 27 novembre 2026 au Grand Théâtre Doudou Ndiaye Rose, Dakar, Sénégal. La journée culminera avec le lancement officiel de l’application Wawaw et la première mondiale de Fast & Furious 9 en Wolof.
Wawaw propose des films, séries et contenus africains doublés et sous-titrés en Wolof, Pular, Bambara et Mandinka. 64% des Africains ne parlent ni français ni anglais. Wawaw construit l’infrastructure qui leur permet d’accéder au cinéma mondial dans leur langue maternelle. La plateforme opère selon un modèle à cinq fenêtres de distribution : Cinéma, TVOD/SVOD Wawaw, Diaspora Europe, Broadcast TV, et YouTube.
